On behalf of the Pulmonary Hypertension Association, we invite you to be a sponsor of the Annual RACE 2 CURE PH – Taylor Caffrey Memorial 5K Run/Walk. The event is being organized by the Taylor’s Wish fundraising group and will be held in Anaheim Hills.
Pulmonary Hypertension (PH) is a debilitating, life-threatening illness currently with no cure. It causes high blood pressure in the pulmonary artery, which connects the heart to the lungs, and can lead to an enlarged heart and heart failure. Its symptoms include chest pain, breathlessness, low energy, dizziness and fainting.
The Pulmonary Hypertension Association (PHA) is a non-profit organization formed in 1987. At that time, there were less than 200 cases of PH in the United States and no disease-specific treatment. Estimates of the number of cases worldwide are now in the hundreds of thousands. New drugs are in medical trials. Research supported by PHA is leading to greater understanding of the illness. There is hope. Events like ours are adding to hope every day.
One-hundred percent of the proceeds raised from the Annual RACE 2 CURE PH – Taylor Caffrey Memorial 5K Run/Walk event will boost the research dollars in PHA’s research budget with the ultimate goal of finding a cure for Pulmonary Hypertension.
On behalf of PH patients, family, caregivers and friends, we thank you for your generosity.
